We support UBC student-led sustainability projects.
The Sustainable Materials and Recycling Technology Centre (SMART-C) is a multidisciplinary group of graduate and undergraduate students who are creating a space on campus for students to carry out sustainability-based projects. This includes research and pilot-scale equipment for recycling foodstuffs and plastics to create functional products from waste materials, with the goal of supporting student-led sustainability projects up to pilot-scale testing.
